New place, new logo, new year!

With the hard work behind us in moving to the new farm we are back to concentrating on our riding and enjoying our horses.

Recently we launched our new logo, a definitive silhouette of my father riding the legendary Manjerico. This image seems to capture the simplicity and grace we all strive for, and I can't think of a better symbol to represent what we do at Grelo Farms.

A Successful Open House

Thank you to everyone who came to our Open House and all those who lent their time to prepare for it. It was a huge success with approximately 200 guests. The beautiful surroundings, ample food and hot drinks, good company and entertaining performances made for a lovely Sunday afternoon. And, it was such a pleasure to see old friends and new ones join us in celebrating our new home! Come back and visit The Tack Room for news and events throughout the year.

Countdown to Open House

The weather forecast for our open house this Sunday looks chilly.  Please advise your friends and family to dress warmly with appropriate footwear for a farm.  Bringing a blanket doesn't hurt!  As for your attire we ask that you wear black breeches and riding boots, a white turtleneck and vest.  Failing that, as close as you can come to this is great!

Please help guide our visitors to the arena before the 1:00pm and 3:00pm demonstrations.  We need to keep the aisles clear while the horses walk down to ensure everyone's safety.

During this last week any help tidying up is much appreciated.  Lend a hand if and when you can!

Polish those boots!!!

Rider selection and practices have been going smoothly. Thanks to everyone for stepping up! We hope that each of our riders will select a groom for the day so that preparations will be easier, and everyone will have time to enjoy the afternoon with our guests. Please arrive early to take care of any last minute details. Please note that we'd like to keep the entrance clear of all cars for the Open House and ask that everyone park in the outdoor arena. 

We look forward to seeing everyone at our first soiree!!
